A solid foundation in acting will yield great results in all disciplines of the performing arts and life in general. This class focuses on the basics of acting, character development, and improvisation. Both stage acting and acting for the camera are covered as well as voice acting, commercial acting, and audition technique. Students will learn to workshop (create), rehearse, and perform monologues and scenes as well as participate in various instructional acting exercises. We teach the same realistic, professional level acting technique that pros use every day. Learn realistic acting technique in a supportive, positive atmosphere, and have a blast while doing it!
Acting 1/2 utilizes fun games and exciting interactive activities to help the young student develop a love for performing and being in front of an audience. Creativity is cultivated in a gentle yet upbeat atmosphere that is sure to keep the little ones smiling! No experience is necessary.
Designed for the experienced student, Advanced Acting goes a bit deeper into the study of acting than Acting 2, while maintaining the fun of an acting class for kids. Basic terminology and technique are taught through games, exercises and discussions. Scene study, characterization, Improv, and stage direction are covered.
